Architecture & Design

The property outlines a classical and historical background but yet contemporary design by renowned architects Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel. They have done an incredible job not only from the outside with the beautiful building that dates back to 1950 and the park surrounding it but also from the inside. The color combination with furniture, flowers and art, everything fits together. Once you step in, you feel at peace, you simply feel at your home away from home.

The employees and the atmosphere managed to give this place an extraordinary feeling.

The lobby area is gratefully decorated with archival sketches of Bvlgaries most iconic celebrities such as the lovely Anita Ekberg, Monica Vitti and of course Sophia Loren. In fact, the lobby becomes vital as you seat next to the fireplace, coffee in the hand and simply glimpse to the green lush out of the window. In summer time, grab a good book, take a walk through the gardens and lay back in one of their hidden lounges and indulge in self-chosen ignorance. Or you may simply want to walk all the way to the end and do your “Aperitivo” at the Dom Perignon lounge!

The rooms are spacious, thoughtful decorated, luxurious and still light. Just the way I like it! Especially the black and white bathrooms are one of its kind. Have a look yourself!

SPA & Wellness

Not to forget is their hidden spa which seems like a private sanctuary of relaxation. After a flight or long ride I like to go for swim in order to balance and acclimate my body to the new place. The deemed lights, vital colors and candles make this place so unique, it is perfect to turn down and charge batteries

Little secret to know: The fireplace in the lounge room is made of Zimbawe black granite and weighs 15 tons. In the lounge, a small library with exclusively curated books is at the disposal of guests. A large table full of sweets and doggy bags is located in the lobby for guests to treat themselves.

Food & Negroni’s

Being in Milano the capital of Negroni, there was no doubt that I was going to have one or two or tree or… of my favorite drink. And it was actually first thing I did upon arrival (which felt like acclimatizing my body to the atmosphere).

So let me give a shout-out to the Bar at Bvlgari who ranks their Negroni among my top choices. I know many of you aren’t big fans of the bitter aperitif but don’t worry, there’s plenty of choice for you too. Let the chef de bar surprise you with an extended choice of pre-Prohibition crafted cocktails.

Situated at the end of the garden, the restaurant and bar area surprises for its unusual association with a lenticular ceiling suspended over a large oval balcony in black resin that gives onto the terrace and the garden. At the restaurant you can indulge into Italian traditions with contemporary twists to the classical dishes which fits perfectly to the hotel’s fashionable philosophy.
